Memoran is local-first by design
Last updated: June 13, 2026
What Memoran does
Memoran helps users create a searchable design memory from Figma files and pages they choose. The desktop app stores the primary index locally on the user’s computer. Memoran Web is optional and is used only when a user connects a Memoran Web account and syncs their index.
Account information
When a user connects Figma, Memoran may store the Figma account name, email, profile image, provider account ID, and connection status so the user can confirm which account is connected.
Local index data
The desktop app may store selected Figma file names, page names, frame names, frame previews, extracted frame text, tags, dimensions, timestamps, and Figma links on the local device.
Web sync data
When Web sync is used, Memoran uploads the data needed to show and search the user’s synced library in Memoran Web. This may include file covers, frame preview images, file/page/frame names, searchable text extracted from frames, frame metadata, and sync status.
Web sync is not required for the local desktop app. Automatic Web sync is opt-in and can be disabled from Settings.
Operational data
Memoran may collect product and support telemetry such as app version, device identifier, plan, usage counts, import/sync events, errors, and diagnostic metadata. This is used for support, product reliability, billing limits, and abuse prevention.
Public share links
If a user creates a public share link, anyone with that link can view the shared synced results until the user removes or disables the link.
Data removal
Users can clear local data from the desktop app. For web account or synced cloud data removal, contact Memoran support.
